About NSIT
Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology formerly known as Delhi Institute of Technology was established in July 1983 under the aegis of the Delhi Administration with the approval of the Government of India. It has come a long way since then, when the initial intake was just forty students. Today, the Institute accepts approximately 225 students each year into its 4 undergraduate courses. The Institute was conceived to impart education in Computers, Electronics & Communication, Instrumentation & Control and Manufacturing Process & Automation Engineering. At present, the Institute is affiliated to the University of Delhi, but is nevertheless an administratively autonomous Institute. However, the administration aims to convert NSIT into a Deemed University. This step shall provide the institute with a lot more freedom and flexibility in choosing and changing its courses in response to changes in the industry and research sectors.
