Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology (MAIT) runs Bachelor of Engineering , i.e., Information Technology , Computer Science and Engineering , Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Mechanical and Automation Engineering . These programmes are affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi.
Maharaja Agrasen Institute Of Technology is affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi. It was established in the 1999 and since then it has taken long strides in providing quality Engineering and Technical education to students. Keeping in view the values ushered in by Maharaja Agrasen and the objectives envisioned by the Maharaja Agrasen Technical Education Society, the Institute aims to provide well qualified manpower to this nation. In each in every field of Engineering and Technical education efforts are made to provide the latest in the best tools to the budding engineers on its rolls. As mentioned its objective an excellent hardware-software symbiosis is maintained in each and every laboratory of this Institute. Students are encouraged to explore the 'What if' situation arising in the Engineering problems using software tools. Entrepreneurial skills are also being cultivated in the students.
In the coming year students from this Institute shall be showing their skills in the industries to join hands in fulfilling the social responsibility of imparting Engineering education and training to the youth of this nation.
Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology is established by Maharaja Agrasen Technical Education Society promoted by a group of well known Industrialists, Businessman, Professionals and Philanthropists with an aim to promote quality education in the field of Technology. In its short span of existence MAIT has touched a high standard of excellence through its well equipped laboratory with a high degree of Hardware - Software Symbiosis and continued stress on hardware based Engineering education supplemented with the software application specially designed for the particular branch of engineering . Each and every laboratory and facility in the Institute is well equipped with the latest computing tools. Presently more than Five hundred budding engineers are on the of the Institute.
MAIT endeavors to provide industry relevant education and training to its well-crafted practical training programs for the student in different semesters of the course. The students moving to the second and third year are provided with in-house training facilities in the fields like Computing Technology, Computer Networking, Computer Applications ,Internet Technologies , Electronic Hardware Design, Simulation and Analysis etc. Also the students moving to the final year are being trained at the real workplace , i.e. factories, industries installations and R&D centers etc.
In order to achieve its goals MAIT is eager to build lasting relations with the industry, therefore , the industries are cordially invited to join hands in fuilling the social responsibility of imparting industry relevant technical education and training.
The B.Tech. Programmes offered at this institute follow the semester system. Each programme is divided into eight semesters to be completed in a minimum of Four Years. In every semester, courses related to the branch are conducted with theory courses supplemented with practical work in each subject. In the final year four elective courses have to be taken up by the students in their field of study & interest. Apart from this every student is required to take up project work applying the skills acquired during the courses they have studied & submit the dissertation report to the institute. In-house training after the second year & In-plant training after the third year has also to be taken up for the fulfillment of the requirements for the award of B.Tech. degree.
